Take me out to the ballgame

I'm really not a baseball fan, but I like everything associated with it. Beautiful weather, $6.00 cotton candy... what more could you want? Okay, well maybe for soda to not be spilt all over your purse by the little girl sitting in back of you. It doesn't help that she was the cutest little thing that just kept saying "I'm so sorry" with alligator tears in her eyes. I guess that's what I get for putting it on the ground in the first place. Aside from the soda incident we had fun pretending to like baseball for the day and actually getting to go to a sporting event together (both "in the stands").

Storm Chasers???

Yesterday on my way to work there were about 5 of these trucks in the parking lot of a hotel. I knew they looked funky but I didn't really know what they were for. Well, turns out they are the storm chasers from the Discovery Channel and they were in Fort Morgan because we had perfect "tornado conditions" last night and today. FREAKY!!! I know it sounds weird to have tornadoes in Colorado but everything east of the Rockies, which is where we are, is practically on the plains. The weather here is crazy! It will snow 6 inches one day and the next day be 80 degrees, no joke. So obviously that drastic change in temperature is part of what cause tornadoes. We always have severe weather warnings this time of year but never bad enough to attract the storm chasers. Hopefully you don't see Fort Morgan on the news in the next couple of days!

JENN

One of my best friends, Jenn, is getting married in a week and a half and I'm so thrilled for her! I met her at Broncos auditions my first year. I didn't know anyone at the audition but Jenn looked so familiar to me so we started talking and it turned out that she had lived in Utah and we must have recognized each other from the dance world. We kind of stuck together during the whole audition process, both made the team and have been great friends ever since. We're pretty sure that we were separated at birth because we are freakishly alike! I don't know what I would do without her! I live about 90 minutes outside of Denver and so anytime the weather would get bad or we had an early morning event, I would stay with her. I probably should have split the rent with her since I was there so often (thanks roomie)! We have made so many fun memories together and I'm so lucky to have her as a friend! Her fiance was in the military and so are most of his friends and Jenn's father so they are having a military wedding in their "dress blues". They will be walking down the aisle under swords and it's just going to be such a romantic day! I can't wait to share this day with you Jenn! Now, if I could just find some dang shoes to match the bridesmaid dress!

This was in Mexico last June at our big team banquet.

The night before cold games we would always have brownie sundaes knowing that we would be bundled up and not have to show the old mid-section!

At the dinner for Terrell Davis when he was inducted into the "ring of fame".

Gettin' ready for a game.

We went snorkeling in Mexico and the instructor told us that this was the sign that you were having a great time. I think we were getting punked!

Killing time in between junior clinics.

We had a Halloween party and knew that everyone would come dressed as something sexy. We weren't into the idea so we went on a quest to find the most unflattering costumes possible. I think we pulled it off! And of course, we totally won the best costume prize!

Jenn's fiance Josh rented a limo and had all of her close friends, little sister and dad pick them up in it from the restaurant where he proposed so that we could all go celebrate with them. It was a blast, thanks Josh!

"I'm Hot, Sticky, Sweet"

Christmas comes early for all of you Def Leppard fans out there (Erica). Don't even pretend like you are not or were not a fan, because I know everyone has jammed out a time or two to Pour Some Sugar on Me! What is it about that song that makes you want to take your shirt off and swing it around you head? (WARNING: not cute in garments!!!) I don't know how I didn't hear about this before now but it doesn't matter because now I know. I haven't had a chance to really dig into the album yet but it should be good!

Old School Aerobics!

Not to toot my own horn or anything (toot toot) but I taught the best class ever this morning! I usually never really plan anything for my classes and rely on my creative prowess to come up with a couple of decent combos as I go, but for this morning I actually did some serious research and planning. I wanted to do something new and exciting and I have this really awesome aerobics CD with old school hip hop jams but the tempo is to fast to use for step or a strength class so I figured I would plan my class around the CD. So, every other day of the week the classes are set in stone; Monday - BOSU at 4:30, Abs/Muscle Works at 5:30, Yoga at 6:30 but the beautiful thing about Saturday class is that it's different every week so people don't really know what they are getting themselves into. I knew that if people knew that they would be doing MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice and Salt 'n Peppa moves, that they would all decide to sleep in instead so I told everyone that it would just be some kind of cardio class. I have a pretty good following in my classes and I couldn't wait to see these guys doing the MC Hammer shuffle. I actually lost a little sleep I was so excited about the whole thing. So I was totally expecting a few "walk outs", but as soon as I hit that play button and "2 Legit 2 Quit" came on everyone was in for the ride! It was a full hour of bad early 90's music video moves and totally freakin' awesome! I wish you all could have been there!

Grey's Blues

Is it just me or is anyone else sick of the on again - off again relationship between Derrick and Meredith?!? This show is what I look forward to every week and I might have to boycott it for awhile unless Derrick and Meredith get back (and stay back) together! I still tune in every week and usually find something to cry about for some stupid reason or another, especially in season 3 when Meredith had to put her dog down (I bawled!), you dog people out there know what I'm talking about (T.J. actually came to check on me during that episode because I couldn't pull it together). I just had to vent my frustrations but you all know what I will be doing tomorrow night regardless of their relationship status.

Recap of 2008!

In January I got the opportunity with the Broncos to take part in a 21 AFE (Armed Forces Entertainment, similar to USO) tour where we travel overseas and preform for our troops. Fourteen of us were chosen for the trip and got the absolute experience of a lifetime! We traveled to Hawaii (Kauai and Oahu), Kwajalein, Guam and Japan (Sasebo, Iwakuni and Okinawa). We got the opportunity to visit family bases so we could not only interact with our troops but their families as well. It was so special to be able to thank the entire family for all of the sacrifices they make for us each and everyday. We would hold clinics for the kids and we had a 2 hour show to perform at all of the bases. We had some of the most amazing experiences! We got to sit in the cockpit of a B5 Stealth Bomber, tour a submarine, stand on a runway while fighter jets landed and a Stealth Fighter took off, play in flight simulators, Sky dive, but most of all, bring a little piece of home to these men and women who have been away from their homes keeping us safe. Every minute of those 21 days was truly unforgettable!
T.J. was a great sport about the whole thing, let's just say he got a whole lot of "X Box" time in those 3 weeks! Two days after I got back from that trip, T.J. and I went to San Fransisco. I was so jet lagged that I probably wasn't the best vacation partner but it was great to be with my husband again.
In March we went to Palm Springs with the Harpers. We always have such a great time with them. We relaxed by the pool, caught a couple of tennis matches at the Pacific Life Open and ate great food. What else could you ask for right?
In April I went to Cabo with my dad, what a blast. We did everything you could think off, we hiked, jet skied, swam, sailed, pampered ourselves at the spa, you name it! It was so fun to have my dad all to myself!
What a fun couple of months, keep 'em coming!

GO JAZZ GO!

Okay, so I haven't made it to a Jazz game this year and it is killing me! I kept telling myself that I would make it out for a playoff game and talked myself into the fact that I had plenty of time since they would be going to the Finals. Well, as we all know, especially my blood pressure, the Jazz did not play well in L.A., finally won game 3 and absolutely have to win game 4! So I will say a little prayer that we can go for 3 more wins, knock out New Orleans and go on to finally win this thing!!! Oh, and make it to a game somewhere in the mix! Let's Go Jazz!

Happy Mother's Day

So much to T.J.'s dislike, I've decided to become a blogger. Now everyone keep in mind that you will be seeing what looks like a lot of the same pictures since both T.J. and I and the dogs change very little over time. My sister has been wanting me to start a blog for awhile and I thought that I would start one and call it her Mother's Day present (no not because I'm cheap, and yes I sent a card, get off my back!). She is moving to Iowa in June and so my main objective with this blog is to make her laugh a couple times a week while she's gone and to make sure she remembers what we all look like here in Colorado. I really can't complain about her moving since we were the first to abandon ship and move away but and oddly enough, Iowa is actually a closer driving distance from good old Colorado than Las Vegas is, but who am I kidding, driving is never an option! My sister is my absolute best friend in the whole world and the most incredible mother!

Happy Mother's Day Deanie!!!
But of course I can't make a Mother's Day post without paying some much due respect to one of the most amazing women in the world, my mommy! My mom is so great! She is the only person I know who can carry on two to three conversations at a time and be listening to everyone. Now, I'm not saying that is not the most obnoxious thing in the world, because it is, but it's still pretty impressive. She is the first person to offer her help and the last to ever ask for any. She is the best back tickler in the world and I couldn't survive without our daily conversations, she's the best! She has completely supported me with everything I have ever done and I don't know what I would do without her!
I love you mom!
