In January I got the opportunity with the Broncos to take part in a 21 AFE (Armed Forces Entertainment, similar to USO) tour where we travel overseas and preform for our troops. Fourteen of us were chosen for the trip and got the absolute experience of a lifetime! We traveled to Hawaii (Kauai and Oahu), Kwajalein, Guam and Japan (Sasebo, Iwakuni and Okinawa). We got the opportunity to visit family bases so we could not only interact with our troops but their families as well. It was so special to be able to thank the entire family for all of the sacrifices they make for us each and everyday. We would hold clinics for the kids and we had a 2 hour show to perform at all of the bases. We had some of the most amazing experiences! We got to sit in the cockpit of a B5 Stealth Bomber, tour a submarine, stand on a runway while fighter jets landed and a Stealth Fighter took off, play in flight simulators, Sky dive, but most of all, bring a little piece of home to these men and women who have been away from their homes keeping us safe. Every minute of those 21 days was truly unforgettable!
T.J. was a great sport about the whole thing, let's just say he got a whole lot of "X Box" time in those 3 weeks! Two days after I got back from that trip, T.J. and I went to San Fransisco. I was so jet lagged that I probably wasn't the best vacation partner but it was great to be with my husband again.
In March we went to Palm Springs with the Harpers. We always have such a great time with them. We relaxed by the pool, caught a couple of tennis matches at the Pacific Life Open and ate great food. What else could you ask for right?
In April I went to Cabo with my dad, what a blast. We did everything you could think off, we hiked, jet skied, swam, sailed, pampered ourselves at the spa, you name it! It was so fun to have my dad all to myself!
What a fun couple of months, keep 'em coming!
