So Long Colorado - Hello St. George

Last weekend we made the move back to Utah. We've been wanting to for awhile and finally made it happen. I hate packing and moving and I hope that we never had to do it again - ugh!
Before we left I had a couple of going away parties.
Jenn was so sweet and planned the funnest party for me. It was so fun and so good to see all my Denver girls (minus a few)!

Me and Jenn. I already miss her so much!

We seriously could have stayed here and talked all night long!
I can't wait for you guys to all road trip out here to see me!

I love that we are all doing the signature knee pop.

A bunch of my friends in Fort Morgan had a party for me as well. It apparently went until the wee hours of the morning but I clocked out around 10:00. I guess they really know how to party - me, not so much!

T.J. hates pictures so this was about the only one that I got.

Some of the girlies.

I didn't get a whole big group shot, just a lot of individuals so I couldn't post them all but I already miss everyone so much. They spoiled me with great gifts and I will never forget any of them! I know it's crazy but I really do miss it there. I will always remember all of the fun times I had and all of the lifelong friendships that I made.

water world and speeding tickets

A couple of weeks ago I went to water world for the first time with a couple of friends. It was so much fun aside from the fact that I totally got peer pressured into going on some of the slides. We laughed so hard all day that my abs were sore for a week.
They have a ton of slides that have huge tubes that you can down in together. Well, the limit for each tube was either 5 kids or 3 adults but who really pays attention to the limits right? We shoved all 4 of us in the tube every time. This worked for most of the slides except for one. We actually beached ourselves. The slide kind of turns into a lazy river for awhile and we apparently exceeded the weight limit because we caused a huge back up. We couldn't stop laughing but the people behind us didn't think it was too funny.

I went to Denver with my friend Shannon to shop this week and right as we are getting into Denver her radar starts screaming and then we saw this little jerk...

We knew we really were going way over the speed limit so we weren't surprised that he caught us but I couldn't help but get my camera out and take some pictures. We were watching him in his car trying to decide if he was going to give us a warning or a ticket.

You can't really see the cop car in this picture but he's there and yes he was writing a ticket - jerk!

Shannon with the cop.
We were laughing so hard by the time he got back up to our car that the $97 ticket didn't sting so bad. Not the best way to start off the day but we had a blast!

Iowa and baby Bron

The train ride was a success! Seriously it was pretty cool - I think - I slept the whole time. 14 1/2 hours later...

I met Baby Bron
He is quite possibly the sweetest baby in the whole entire world! Besides pooping all over my mom (and I mean ALL OVER) he is the most perfect little angel ever.
Bron was born on the 23rd and Cael's birthday was on the 24th but since my sister was still in the hospital they decided to celebrate it on 25th which was great because I got to be there for it. My sisters boys are the cutest kids on the face of this earth. Every time Cael would open a present he would look at Hunter and say "Hunter, look what we got!". I could just kiss their little faces off. I love those boys!
Before we even lit the cake Cael was pulling out the candles and licking off the frosting. My kinda kid!

Cael got his very own leapster for his birthday and he kept saying "Look Immy (that's what he calls me). I playin' my leapster." and that is basically what these two did 1/3 of the day everyday. They would come downstairs and climb in bed with me every morning and play their leapsters . I could get used to that!

This might be inappropriate but I love it too much not to post. I told you they played it most of the day. Boys and their video games...

Sweet little peanut! I could sit and smell his little self all day!

My sister is the greatest mom ever! Doesn't she look incredible for just having a baby?!?

Sisterly love! I seriously love the heck out of her!

Waiting for my train to take me home.

Last hugs goodbye.
It's always so hard to leave these little farts!
14 1/2 hours later... Home!

July

At 9:00 tonight I'm taking a train (that's right, I said train) to see this little guy
Bron Cody Johnson
My sister was induced yesterday and I was an absolute wreck all day. I cried my eyes out at the fact that I wasn't there. I was able to be at the birth of both Hunter and Cael and I just felt horrible that I wasn't there for little B. So I did what any loving sister would do - I booked myself a train ticket. I actually didn't even know that you could take the train so this should be quite the adventure but I'll do whatever I have to do to get there and kiss this little munchkins face off!
Congratulations Erica and Cody on another handsome little boy!
We went to Lake Powell over the 4th and had a blast as usual.

Fighting over otter pops...

The diaper

Hit it!

Of course T.J. wanted the shorter rope so that he could spray me the whole time. Let's just say that this ride didn't last very long.

Matching shirts - T.J. kills me

Wow - I suck!

Okay, it's only been 5 months since I posted last... Oops! It's pretty much been the same old same old around here for us and since I'm definitely not making up for all 5 months, I'll give you the low down on the last couple of weeks.

I finally made it in to see Jenn a month (I know - I suck) after little Ethan was born.

He is such a doll!

My other great friend Terita had her baby on the 24th of June. little Chloe. Such a cutie - look at all of that hair!

That pretty much sums up the last little while.
2 hours and counting until it's Lake Powell time!

Mullets and Girls

Last weekend my gym had our "fitness competition" for our spring 2009 fitness challenge and my team rocked the house. This is my second team in a row that is and will blow away the competition. Our team "uniforms" were these sweet little mullets and let me tell you, they were awesome. I seriously looked like Joe Dirt, good thing I was too busy to make the pic.

Then Saturday night we finally had a much overdue girls night. Dinner and movie, nothing fancy but if it were up to me it would have been take-out and Blockbuster. (I'll get to more of that later) We saw "He's just not that into you" - cute and recommended.

Jenn and Josh just bought a new house so I stopped by to see it - darling! Congratulations guys! How cute is her belly!?!

Figures that the only picture of all of us would turn out blurry but you get the idea.

I wish that my popcorn was not the size of a small child but...
Jenn and I spent more on our movie treats than both of our meals at dinner combined. Oops! (Jenn, your welcome for not posting our "fat kid" picture)

Mel getting down with her ice cream sandwich. Just one of the many reasons I love that girl.
So, I haven't been to a movie (okay 1) since we moved to Colorado 4 years ago and didn't go to many in Utah (except for Lord of the Rings, which we would actually go to on opening night (all 3). Does that make us lame? Not to mention I would kill for a #4.)
Anyhow, I totally remembered why I don't go to movies...
#1 The lady in front of you that turns around and asks you to stop kicking her seat.
What am I? A 12 year old? I wasn't kicking your seat you old bag and maybe if you weren't so dang rude you could have gotten someone to go to the movie with instead of sitting by your stupid self - I hate rude people. She totally ruined my night and that happened before the movie even started. At home the only rude person I would have to deal with is T.J. and I'll kick his seat as much as I want to.
#2 My sciatic nerve in my right leg started hurting halfway through the movie and I couldn't even shift around to try to make it stop in fear that I would "kick the seat" in front of me. At home I would be in a theater chair with a blanket and I could move around at my leisure.
#3 I cried. I hate to cry in public or private for that matter and so I did that stupid thing where you try not to cry and then you just get a sore throat and a headache (I know you know what I'm talking about). Idiot, just cry. I had a headache the whole way home. At home I would cry, T.J. would pause the movie so that I could pull myself together - no headache!
#4 I was wearing jeans. Of course I was wearing jeans, why not? I spend a small fortune on jeans but it turns out that I hate wearing them. I work in sweats, I lounge in sweats and let's face it, sometimes I go out to eat in sweats. Jeans and I - not so good of friends. And after a full meal, a giant bag of popcorn, peanut M&M's and sour watermelon I was bursting at the seams. The only thing that made me feel better was leaving the theatre and noticing that Mel had her button undone - HA! I don't even need to tell you what I'd be wearing at home - okay you guessed it, sweats.
#5 Last but not least, you feel like you might get shot for getting up to go to the bathroom. Heaven forbid someone might have to pee in the next 110 minutes! At home, you can pee at will.

This all, however, did not take away from how great it was to see everyone! Love you girls!

7 Months & 22 Days

That is how long it has been since T.J.'s last haircut. I wish that I were kidding but that is the sad and pathetic truth (and yes I really did count the days).
Well today without warning I stopped in at the dealership and there he was - buzzed. You can only imagine what his hair looked like before the haircut (no bueno) but I didn't even get to run my fingers through his curly locks one last time. So this is my bitter sweet goodbye to T.J.'s second run at a mullet - God be with you 'til we meet again!

I'm the CHAMPION and it tastes so good!

Every year my sister, mom and I have a competition to see who can buy the first Cadbury egg of the season and I'm proud to say that after a 3 year losing streak I am once again the champion!

I was at the store buying junk (sorry Erica) for my nephews for Valentines (that's what aunts are for right?) and I'm walking up and down the endless rows of candy (junk) when lo and behold... I struck creamy, milk chocolaty gold! I had to pinch myself to make sure I was not dreaming, buy as many as I could without running into any of my clients, find a private place (which happened to be in my car in the parking lot) and indulge - mmmmmm.
So now I gladly accept the title - 2009 Cadbury Egg Champion!

I wanna be here...

With a lava flow and hula pie.
Who's with me?
